Choice of Romance: Affairs of the Court

We’re proud to announce that the third part of the Choice of Romance: Affairs of the Court trilogy, our popular series of multiple-choice interactive-fiction games, is now available for iOS, Android and, via the Chrome Web Store, Windows, OS X, and Linux.

The third part, titled “‘Til Death Do Us Part,” is the climactic conclusion to the trilogy, a fantasy story of clandestine love affairs, revolution, and betrayal, which started with “Choice of Romance” and continued in “Choice of Intrigues.”

Plunge into court politics and change the course of history, or pursue a love affair that rocks the kingdom to its foundations! It’s the game of romance, deception and court intrigue, where your choices determine how the story proceeds. The game is entirely text-based–without graphics or sound effects–but driven by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.

Will you play as male or female? Gay or straight? Match wits with the schemers of the court, or play your suitors off each other? Will you find true love? Gain a crown? Lose your head?

We hope you enjoy playing Choice of Romance: Affairs of the Court. We encourage you to tell your friends about it, and recommend the game on StumbleUpon, Facebook, Twitter, and other sites. Don’t forget: our initial download rate determines our ranking on the App Store. Basically, the more times you download in the first week, the better our games will rank.

Am I missing something? Was the Kindle Fire classified under Android when you mentioned the OS’s at the top. I’ve searched the kindle store and can’t find it there. I already have the first two, but when I click on skip to part 2, restore a saved game, it says “The saved game was created at the end of part II: Choice of Intrigues. You can’t restore it until we release Part III of Affairs of the Court.” I’m a big fan of this site and the games on here. Let me know if that’s an error on Kindle, or myself please

Sorry, the Kindle Fire version should be available in a day or two. (We’re waiting for Amazon’s approval.) We’re also waiting on approval for the E-Ink Kindle version, but we expect that to be a much longer wait, because Amazon still hasn’t reviewed “Slammed” from back in June.

Thank you for releasing the final part. I love the king since the beginning, too bad it was never meant to be in the end. How many endings are there?

  5. Hey choice of games! I want to say I really love your games. Please make more romance ones! I loved choice of romance. I play it over and over. If you made more romance ones I would totally but them ALL. And also with more romance genres you’de make more. Teen age girls love the romance

  6. Brandon says:

Can’t wait to play this. Will it be available on the kindle soon?

  7. Sal says:

I’m very excited the next part if out at last! Just one thing: Is there no longer any way to put in my saved game? I’ve been keeping it since the first one was out, and I’d really like to continue my play through. In all honesty, if I can’t continue, that’s going to affect whether or not I buy the new part.

    • Dan Fabulich says:

Saved games are supported on all platforms, including with passwords. Restart the game, select “Skip Ahead” and “restore your game.”

      • Sal says:

What I have is the big block of code from when the first two came out. Will there be a place for me to input that? Or will I need to start a new game, since the formats seem to have changed?

  8. […] of Games‘ titles are all well-written branching narratives. On Friday, they announced the completion of the Choice of Romance trilogy. That’s three games / stories with a focus on love and romance (and court intrigue) all in […]

  9. Frank says:

Just a very quick question… When you finish a chapter/part it gives you the option to write a save name with your email adress… How to you load from a save you created ?

  10. John says:

I had a saved game associated with the first two games in this trilogy.

How do I restore my save state now?

  11. Cecilia says:

Hey, so I got the affairs at court version on my kindle touch. Will you be making an update for that with the final chapter? because I really want to play on my kindle and try my old files.

  12. Nicholas says:

Hi there, not to complain or anything but today’s date is August 31st but the game is still not available on amozon or my kindle I would like an update on the situation please

  13. Samantha says:

The final chapter, Till death do us part, crashes as soon as I open it and momentarily freezes my phone. I have a Samsung Galazy Blaze, also gives me an TwLauncher error…never had this problem before with any of these games. I tried Choice of the Vampire 2 and had no issues.

  14. Leah says:

I love the game it gives you so many choices you may have to read but you get into the story really well luv it

  15. Bunny says:

Still really disappointed about choice of games money-centric ways. I don’t mind ads or things like that, but I’m very sad that I can’t play because I am unable to purchase the game. I’ve bought a couple of your games, but I can’t afford the multitude of titles choice of games puts out. I’ve loved choice of games for a long time, and I’ve actually been waiting for years for the resolution to choice of romance, my favorite game of yours. Circumstances prevent me from buying the full game. I’m really sad about this, but I’ve decided to stop playing your games altogether because I’m sick of getting invested in an amazing game and then not being able to go on because of my lack of free money. I guess you’ve lost another customer!

  16. Daniel Sorensen says:

It is december and I am still unable to gain any update for either Affairs of the Court or Choice of Vampire for my Kindle Paperwhite. I hope this issue is atleast being remembered, and request an update on the situation.
The entire Kindle fanbase of your company shall be awaiting an answer with bated breath.

  17. Marko says:

I have a problem with this game. I have finished romance few days ago, and I’m unable to buy Intrigues. When I tap the “buy for 0.99″ button on my phone nothing happens. Just nothing.
