Choice of Games is pleased to announce the release of What Happened Last Night?, by Kie Brooks! Play it on the web, or download the iPhone version or the Android version.
“What Happened Last Night?” is a dark but occasionally humorous action murder mystery multiple-choice text-based game.
We hope you enjoy playing “What Happened Last Night?” and we encourage you to play it, tell your friends, and to recommend it on StumbleUpon, Facebook, Twitter, and other sites. Don’t forget: our initial download rate determines our App Store ranking. Basically, the more times you download in the first week, the better “What Happened Last Night?” will rank.
Finally, a shameless plug: “What Happened Last Night?” is the third game available as part of our hosted games plan. If you’d like to write a multiple-choice game of your own, give it a try! If you host our game with us, we’ll share 75% of the revenue your game produces.
Haaaaaaaaa…. I’m not a fan of murder mysteries but that game picture made me laugh. Don’t have time currently to play it, but it looks like it’s going to be fun. Will play when I get around to it.
Short and sweet. It’s not a murder mystery in the same vein as Popcorn, Soda, Murder in that you don’t need to remember every detail the game throws at you and make complex deductions; it’s just a fun multiple-choice game with multiple endings and more than ample opportunities to fail.
Unrelated to the original post, but I’m not sure where else to put this… what’s the ETA on the Vampire game? A previous entry said it would hopefully come out by July, and I haven’t seen any updates.
I am sorry for being off topic here, but I’m not sure where to go for this.
Quite an entertaining game. It took me a few tries to understand the monkey. I agree with William. Short and sweet. Usually I prefer longer games, but this one is the exception in my opinion. I’m assuming that this is Kie Brooks’s first game, and if that is indeed the case, then Good Job!
Great Game! The mystery starts from the first second … and just keeps on going …
It was a good play and rather humorous…if a bit short. Although maybe I solved it early…will go on to try other options and see the outcomes.
I just replayed Choice of the Dragon, which is great, and I noticed the changes from months ago.. I like the new scroll format but I hate how the first choice is always selected by default! How dare you make assumptions or suggestions about my desires!? They should be blank until I make a mark!!
When do we get new choice of i dont like scary murder mysterys i want to burn stuff with my fiery breath and bite with fangs.
Whenwhenwhennnnnnn?
Hey, I just played it. Was very different from what I first thought. It took me a number of tries to get to the very end and even then I didn’t understand how I did it. It could have been better. I found that a lot of the situations I found myself in had a “go back” option, which made it hard for me to know whether I should be at this spot and this time, if you know what I’m saying.
I always like to end on a good note: It was fun, slightly challenging, wasn’t too short or too long for its kind and once you play through it a few times and begin to understand it it is a very good game indeed.
Would recommend you play it to end, however many tries it takes you.
Plz do another post when next choice of game is. I am hungry for peasants.
Aren’t we all, Kate; aren’t we all… 🙁
Ummm I love these games but when will someone make a zombie or cowboy game? Like seriously or both just giving out an idea…
@Abraham: We’re not currently working on either zombie or gunslinger/cowboy games in-house. I’m aware of at least two zombies projects in ChoiceScript, but those are both in the early stages of development–no predictions on when they might be out.
@Adam~ is there a current prediction for when any of the in-house games will be released, especially Choice of the Vampire?
@Gordon- No firm prediction, but they’re both in final rounds of beta. I hope that one of them will be released in the next week or so, but that could easily slip to two weeks. I will be very upset if they’re not both out in August, but we’ll have to see.
Honestly, I was a bit disappointed in this game. It just had the potential to be more. Don’t get me wrong; it was good for what it was, but its like a pie missing a flavor- it’s already done. No matter how much better it could have been with more cinnamon, no one’s gonna add any after it’s already been baked. And baking another of the same type of pie would be redundant.
This author has proven the ability to write these types of games, though. I look foreward to when they make a game that fulfills their potential.
Yippeeeeeee
next week
Wait its august today
I hate games that have only one chance and go back to the boring beginning all the time.
@ Adam:
if choice of zombie/cowboy are both in choice script, does that mean that your also planning a bunch of other games like choice of werewolf or choice of superhero?
@Kamer: We would like to do all of zombie, cowboy, werewolf, and supers, but we are not currently working on any of those. As I said, some outside people are working on some zombie games using ChoiceScript. We hope to do more games in house, but we’re very busy.
I keep dying and i don’t know how to get past it and either that or i go to jail
